Who We Are.
The owners of Van Goat Contracting, Jevin Smith and Maxwell Hall are two long time friends who grew up together. They shared holidays together, vacations and countless memories. They began Van Goat Contracting in 2023 with a vision in mind. The vision was for the two of them to build and cultivate a business where they can wake up everyday and be excited for the work ahead. This vision came to light as they chipped away at the long list it takes to start a business. With each completed task came celebration as they knew they were one step closer to being operational. The day finally came when Van Goat Contracting was able to begin production! Production started in May of 2023 with its first job of painting Winthrop's town office, the town office of Jevin’s hometown.
Why A Goat?
The goal at Van Goat Contracting is not the typical goal of most contractors. The goal of the business is to be a pillar of the community where anyone can look to us as the pinnacle of hard working, reliable and professional work. We look to build relationships within our community, we look local for all of our needs. The logo was designed by a local artist named Todd Park who does fantastic work. Every relationship that is built through Van Goat Contracting is one that will last a lifetime. This extends to the customers and employees that we meet along the way. The main goal that Jevin and Maxwell have for Van Goat Contracting is to develop a culture and work environment that people enjoy and want to come back for. One of their main mantras is “It is our belief that if you enjoy what you are doing and are treated well, you will want to do the best work you can for the customer because you are proud of what you do.”
